PASI members and supporters do not turn away from today's challenges. There is an ongoing genocide in Gaza, threat of an escalated war with Iran hangs over us, and the skewed budget bill that was just passed gives more money to the Pentagon, immigration enforcement, and billionaires, while taking away funding for Medicaid, SNAP and protecting the environment.

What do you think our collective response should be? We in PASI think it should be: Educate and Organize! We hope you agree.

In order to organize, we need to be educated. So we ask you to come to PASI's next general meeting on Saturday, July 12th from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Unitarian Church of Staten Island, 312 Fillmore Street.

This will be an IRAN TEACH-IN for us all to learn about the history and U.S. foreign policy that led to Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran. Our special guest speaker is Professor H. Ege Ozen, who teaches Political Science at the College of Staten Island with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. 

At the meeting, we will also share ORGANIZING UPDATES for the summer from PASI, Staten Island 4 Palestine, Staten Island Action Coalition, NY11 Healthcare for All, SI4Change and other groups bringing people together to stand up for policies that promote healthy communities, safety for immigrants, diplomacy not war, climate justice, and equity for all.
